Our Chickens
We raise both egg laying and meat chickens at our farm. These hens will be the definition of free range. Their home will get moved to fresh pasture daily/few times a week. Every morning these ladies get let out to roam then they will get locked back in their predator protection housing at night. In the morning, they will get moved to fresh pasture and let out to roam for the day. We specifically move them 3 days behind the cows so they can eat fresh fly larvae. These happy hens get a choice of all the insects they can find; fresh green grass. HUNDREDS of pounds daily of fruit veggies. We are exploring doing a completely grain free egg which is almost unheard of but as of now we are keeping some grain with them and they do get the fermented spent brewers grain so we don't want to use that label yet. We want to feed them as close to their natural diet as possible to get those flavorful, rich, yellow yoke farm eggs they are known for!

Why buy farm fresh eggs and meet over store bought?
People often choose farm-raised eggs over store-bought eggs because they are generally considered to be fresher, more nutritious, with higher levels of vitamins like vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids, due to the chickens having a more natural diet and access to outdoor grazing, which can result in a richer flavor compared to commercially produced eggs; additionally, buying from local farms can support sustainable practices and animal welfare concerns. They more outdoor access, a more natural diet, less antibiotic use, and potentially better nutritional value, resulting in a richer flavor and potentially improved health benefits compared to conventionally raised chickens often found in grocery stores
